You know many of you can make this 30 minute brk work to your advantage. For example while waiting for the next load or writing down your load info and trp planning.Use that for your half hr brk.Do you actually think FMCSA and the DOT follows laws to the letter, highly unlikely.

Most of the laws suck all because of revenue, not safety.

Gotta eat, pee and poop sometime. Lump it together, with a walk for TruckerDawg, and I have 30 minutes I can be getting useful stuff done.

Now all I need to find is a mailbox so I can send all the pee 'n poop to Ann Ferro!

That electronic babysitter sure is great isnt it? I dont feel bad for you guys at all. you deserve all the bs you put yourselves in by complying with a baysitter in the first place. have fun sitting for 30 minutes when you only need 5 to pee and maybe wash your hands.

I hope at least 1 of you grow a back bone and go to a non tracking company with paper logs.

as for me saving fuel, driving slow and such i just log it how i want when i pee instead of staying on the drive line. not a big deal but it will cost me an additional pack of pens at the end of the year. A $2 write off.....

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! you'll have to buy a pack of pens, what will you do:biggrin_2551::biggrin_25518:,just teasing u.I do like the way you log but unfortunately most the companies nowadays have elogs. Many don't have a choice in the matter due to lack of exp.In due time every company will be required to use elogs.

The Congress of the United States has already written into law a requirement that the FMCSA make electronic logging mandatory for all commercial vehicles... not sure where the lower weight limit is, but it's usually 26,000 lbs or so.

So... enjoy your temporary freedom, don't overbuy on the pens, and you'll be joining all of the folks on electronic babysitting soon. :biggrin_25523:

"I hope at least 1 of you grow a back bone and go to a non tracking company with paper logs."

I've worked for paper log companies before. What's the big deal about paper logs?

I could go to work tomorrow for practically any paper log company that was hiring. What for? I have a great gig right where I'm at, in spite of using an EOBR.
