Then there's this little sentence, you realize that 1.4 million divided by 5=280,000 right? That pretty much disputes everything else that you said. When people say clearing that to me and others here means profit, net, these are after all expenses. Unless there are other things going on with his business outside of the three trucks and two box trucks, none of this is believable.

isn't that why you'd do flatbed in the first place?

if you wanna be lazy and 2200 miles runs anybody can that in Van for $1 a mile lol

 

i average over 2/mile now and norm do 400-1500 mile runs. A lot more work sometimes only = a little more money. Id rather work smart.

 

I'd team both those trucks....... And you would make 4 times as much!

 

about half out freght is within 500 miles an thus not great team freight. Do load appointments, most of our freight is not set up well for teams. We would get about 1.5 times the miles for 2 drivers that would end up angry they dont get enough.

 

I'm not saying people don't do it, I'm saying not a lot of people do. When I had all my trucks I only made $25,k a year at most than was paying for someone in the office I did $1.3million in 2010 after paying taxes I keep $80,000 so figure that out!

My all miles this year is at $2.74/mi with that said I've only made $61,k after all my expenses ya I still pay for my office but that's just under $12,k a year the thing is if I had to pay a driver there wouldn't be any money left.

If people could just go out buy trucks and make $50,k a year after everything I'd have 20 trucks today
