If they are adding reimbursements to your income, you might want to have the IRS look into that. It is not classified compensation and is to be tax free when paid.

Yeah I know that roadmedic. I'm not sure they tax it or not. My taxable income was only 46,000 do to per dium. My per dium was almost 13,000 so It looks like they took that out already.

I don't know if I'm allowed to say on here . . . but I did lot's of research before choosing a company. I can tell you this - I'll be driving one of those economy sized cabs, not a condo, and hence the higher pay. It would be .45/mile if I drive in the Northeast with all the little, narrow roads and tons of traffic, but being from the south I don't want to stay up there.

LOL you really think prime is going to run you like that you are joking. You are not going to get very many miles running the NE. All you are going to get is headache and a whole lot of grey hairs. You are also driving like 55 to 60 mph. So as I said 35 to 40 gross if you even make it the whole year without hitting one of those low bridges. Opps I just seen that you won't be only on the NE but watch how much you are up there and not getting that extra 2 cents. Don't let them talk you into leasing either another scam.

Most of the time on pay stubs they show up as income and then you have a deduction.

If you noticed, I said I WOULD be, but am not planning to run in the North East except when they say I have to. We'll see. No way to know for sure how much you'll make until you get out there. Someone wanted to know, and that is what they pay. I'll get as many miles as I can. We all drive for who we think we can do the best with. One thing I have learned from reading posts on this forum is that drivers with a positive attitude who do their best to get along with everyone, stay accident free, and don't turn down loads usually do just fine.

So I am headed off to sleep before Santa Arrives. Merry Christmas everyone!
