So I hauled my first hazmat load today

I always collected placards when I can. That way I had plenty of extras.

 

If I could make a list of all the misinformation I get from scale house DOT cops I could write a novel. But they're the ones with the ticket booklets so I just put a happy smile on my face and say "yes sir I'll do it right next time" and be on my way. At the end of the day I follow what's on the CFR because that's my defense if I end up in court.
This job will go a lot smoother if one doesnt over complicate it. It does for me anyway.

 

My company has a HazMat number. We call and read all items on the bills and they verify the shipper has provided the proper placards. Shipper also should supply one extra of each placard needed.
