I draw lines on a log book, it's a graph of my life, it's fascinating. I may write a book. I do it in crayons when I want to go home. Rotfl.

 

A driver told me last week that he got stopped by DOT and he did a level 1 driver insp. Ask for logs, paper logs were fine and legal. Next, DOT ask the driver to get out of his freightliner century2006 and the DOT ask for permission to check the computerized miles and hours, the driver agrees and the trucks computer shows 795 mi. and 17 hours. He immediatly got fined and put out of service! MAKE SURE YOUR COMPUTER MILAGE AND HOURS COINCIDE WITH THE PAPER LOGS!

 

What computer was keeping track of his hours and miles?

 

I just had my Elogs visually checked in Wisconsin last week. I asked to see the summary then asked if I had the instruction page with me.

I might be wrong but I believe you are required to have the user guide with you if your on Elogs.
