I have never seen this in FMCA rules (printed out, and not truckstop counter talk)....

...but, I was told by the DOT, that if a DOT officer asks us how to read or interpret an E-Log we are obliged to tell them. Especially if they are not familiar with the specific program you use....

During my New Entry Audit back in 2011, I had to be able to explain what the program was and using examples, explain how to read or answer any questions that the officer had. Of course, that's simply common sense...
