One issue "WE SWIFTIES" deal with is that Swift has purchased several trucking companies and inherits the equipment that the struggling companies couldn't afford to keep up as they slowly went under. Much of it should get scrapped but ends up on the line and then the poor young (and old) drivers get to deal with it. I saw one that was an ols MS trailer but if you looked close at the paint, MS had obtained it from another fleet then it was a Swift trailer and today it is pulled by a farmer. That poor trailer has to have 10,000,000 + miles on it and few of them loving miles.
