This truck has Detroit and I bought cab also wired for Detroit, but apparently because mine was autoshift, wiring still needed to be transferred, so that was the biggest expense
So I joined a "White Volvo" club...

So the gray truck, which had a complete out of frame overhaul 200k miles ago, got a hole in the block and one in the oil pan
I was heartbroken and next day after getting it home, I flew to FL and picked up another 770 built in 99.
This 99 is a time capsule, has only 595k original miles and was only driven 30k miles in the last 15 years.
The downside of that is that I had to replace pretty much all rubber parts (brakes, suspension, bushings, shocks, airbags, struts, all that stuff).
There is still some little work left to be done, but it's not nothing major and the paint fix will most likely come after the New Years.
The fun fact is, that this truck is the twin brother to the white (started it's life as red) one from the OP.
The same exact build and the VIN numbers are very close to each other, one ends in 310 and another in 371. They both were part of the US Xpress fleet.
Did my first load with it today, Chicago-Detroit, felt good being on the road again after spending a month at homeAttached Files:
