So I met an Old Dominion driver today at a rest stop... here's how it went

    In alot of cases you can walk into OD as a city driver and start making as much as the senior drivers a week if you're efficient. It's one of those places where seniority only holds when things get slow.

    I know OD will take an Estes driver and start them out at the same rate of pay. However I don't think they'll start them out higher then .062 if that's top pay for them. They'll also give the same vacation. Estes wild running road drivers are at $.0625 and scheduled drivers are at $.06125 a mile. All of these ltl companies are pretty much the same but different color truck with the exception of UPS freight and UPS package which are paid about 10 cents more.

    Estes does make a tick less than OD but our 401 is much better. At the end of the day we all make about the same. Except for the big brown terd of course.
