I am courteous when I don't have to inconvenience myself or put myself in some kind of unwanted situation. I pull into parking spots from time to time if it isn't going to be a hassle to get out. I don't intentionally do anything disrespectful or discourteous, and if anything else is, it's beyond my control and there isn't much I can do about it
So I parked at the far quiet end of the truckstop.....

And even if you think it's a waste of fuel for other trucks to idle at a time when you think the outside temperature doesn't warrant idling, how is it any of your business what any truck does if it isn't your truck?
If a driver isn't going to be comfortable inside of his or her truck with the engine off, he ought to have the right to idle if he so chooses. There's nothing reasonable about expecting any driver without an alternative source of heat or A/C to suffer through the heat or the cold. It doesn't matter why. -
Darn right, I run my reefer even when it's empty it helps lull me to sleep. It makes me comfortable.

My question is If a truck idling next to you keeps you awake how would you sleep in an auto idle truck that starts all by itself when you need a heater in winter ? people need to be a bit more relaxed about their neighbors. as Rodney King said "Can't we all just get along !"

or you could have this guy doing this at 1 in the morning, i know i was in a truck stop , and at 1 am in the morning, there was a driver with classic muscle car's on his flatbed, guess that only load he could get and at 1 am he was out there doing this too them, i walked over and said what the fook are you doing racing those car's up and down in rpm like that, the owner said i had too rev the engines every now and then, i said not at 1 in the fooking morning
, when everybody sleeping , i had my tire thumper, i was mad
and had a nice sleep going too, yes i reported him as well about 7 other drivers too the TA manger . all the cars were big blocks, a 1968 firebird, a 1967 camero with 454 ect

Gee, I would think my point was said loud and clear about the way people complain about the simplest things these days.
There is always going to be noise at a truckstop. If you want peace and quiet, don't park for the night at a truck stop or rest area, plain and simple.
Need I say more? Are we on the same page, now? -

yes were the same page, truck driver's will always complain about everything, it's there nature too
