So I parked at the far quiet end of the truckstop.....

I kid you not I woke up Saturday morning about 5am in Haines Florida Pilot went and fueled and there was a truck pulled through the fuel island and his curtains was pulled and windows fogged up. I fueled ,weighted,parked went in and got my coffee and receipts asked the cashier about the truck and she said it had been there for a couple of hours...

 

On a side note, pilot really didn't think the parking layout thoroughly at that place.

 

That is for sure. Have seen lots of bad layouts and would have to say this ranks in the top 10....

 

Pilot. Erie, PA. Bad.

 

Pilot.... Medley FL... Easily the worst.

 

I'll have to check it out. The one in Erie, which happens to be my hometown, is SMALL... you have to cross a narrow bridge to get to the rear over a creek. The fuel island is tiny. I stopped there for the first time a few weeks ago. I'll never fuel or park there again. It was like a trucker rookie demolition derby all up in that joint! The parking spaces are all jacked up, so it's quite difficult to set up to back into a hole.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I prefer to back against a curb. I hate parking back to back with another rig in the middle of a lot!

 

The Pilot in Meridian, MS is one of the worst. Took me 45 min to get out once and all I did was stop to get a drink and use the restroom!

 

I've run into places like that... I started packing my own drinks and food just to avoid that kind of stop. Now that I've been OTR for a while, I've learned where I can stop and not waste time!

 

I pack my own stuff too but sometimes you just gotta have a fountain drink!

 

Those fountain drink are tempting. I usually only try and get them when pilot has the 44oz for $1.
