    So... still more than offsets the no income tax status... if it’s going to Uncle Sam, be it taxes or fees... or just higher cost of living via higher insurance rates, it still sucks...

    What do you mean double car insurance? Do you mean higher rates? Ya we arent the lowest in the country that's for sure. But we certainly aren't the highest. Beside which, that isn't a tax.
    As for property taxes, they are actually pretty low. My taxes on this place in Florida is much lower than my place in Ohio even tho its valued much higher.
