A big part of getting on with them was for their insurance since my wife has health problems I need good insurance to pay the bills.

But they ####ed me on it during enrollment for dependent verification. And their website where you upload the documents is severely broken, so I was not able to submit documents in time. Also they are extremely picky about the documents they need, who the #### has a house hold bill with 2 people's name on it?

Anyways I'm letting them know as soon as I find another job that's why I am quitting. But I don't know where to look really for a decent job I only have 5 months experience.

Anyone ever have this problem with megas just not giving a ####?

Is it the mega, or the insurance company?
The mega is not the one that you are applying for insurance with.

I used it once when I first signed up, many years ago.
Haven't been in there since. I just let last year roll into next year, leaving everything the same.

But I really doubt leaving the company will get you the insurance you need much, if any, sooner.
Is there a number to call the insurance company directly to see if they can work things from their end?

Not to sure, calling them back tomorrow I'll see if I can get ahold of someone who knows more than I do. When I ask them questions they act really un sure of everything

You said you were having trouble on the website.
Just curious, what browser you are using? Because that can make a huge difference.
So can the privacy settings you are using in that browser.

I don't know anything about swift or their insurance, but I'll tell you if you up and quit your job every time you face some sort of technical difficulty like this, then you will be in for a long and bumpy road of job hopping and crap companies.

Hopefully you can get it sorted out.

If your wife has severe disabilities you can get with Medicare or medicaid through Social Security via SSdI disability. (SSI in particular... wages are allowed) I am with United Health care for which I pay 11.00 a month, the other 140.00 is paid by the state through DHS. SO total 160 or so premiums. The first 6700 dollars in medicine is mine. But because I am low income that doughnut hole does not apply. My medicine costs me 3.35 each. Ive taken medicines up to 1000 dollars a week on just 3.35. Problems begin when medicines approach 3000 dollars a month cash only or with commercial insurance. MEANING NOT Government Medicare or Medicaid.

Copays take care of whatever expenses after. Regardless of Amount. A 2014 er visit generated a cool 8000 dollars in cost in 4 hours flat. I only paid 90 copay. Insurance paid the rest and the hospital wrote off the last of it.

My hip surgery cost around 90,000 billed when all said and done over 4 months worth. Insurance and hosptial, doctors, physical therapy, medicines pharmacy, etc etc etc etc rounded everything up at 61,000 flat and called it done and done. The remaining 3000 was my problem. They wrote off all but 400. That was two years ago.

Retail insurance or commercial insurance drivers pay through trucking companies or employers may have deductables up to 10,000 to 12,000 if not more. That means YOU PAY that much before THEY PAY anything in commercial insurance.

IF I was working and was handed a 78000 dollar hip joint bill it is a BIG problem. More than my house which will be sold to pay that at that time.

All gone. Insruance? They would have paid some. After I paid the first 12000 and then some cash.

Medical bills unlike car, student loans (Not federal...) mortgages and so on have no protections in the law. If you fail to maintain even a 10.00 a month good faith payment to the hospital against a 100,000 dollar medical bill they will sue you in court and WIN. Not only win but in Arkansas come to your home and take away your property, including second homes, boats, second cars and anything of value down to your chair and desk. Thats why medical bills are so dangerous.

A dear friend got knifed near the kidneys by a ruse using enemy inside his home masqurading as a friend. Baltimore shock trauma saved his life over 7 days flat. Billing? They handed him 120,000 total. Due. Today. His attacker stood trial. The bill was negotiated to 900 dollars and the rest written off as uncollectable losses against the attacker who was not guilty in trial. (LAter in life he was captured again for a smiliar crime, hes in state prision for 30 years, he will die there)

Friend was a manager and had what passed for workplace employer medical group insurance a hmo. They did not do a #### thing for him. Laughed at him and denied it all with mountains of forms too complicated to fill out properly. (Designed as circles to fail...)

If you have a sick spouse or are sick yourself... commercial insurance may help but ultimately you need a minimum of 20,000 in cash at savings in bank ready to write the deductable after a major hospital incident. A covid test cost about 4000. Additional surprise billing will run you almost 10,000 total just to see you the first time when you cough and shake from fever wondering if you are covid infected the first visit. IF you did not have any insurance.

They say the state pays that bill now. But don't depend on that. If it was us with Covid we stay home and die in bed. If the Ex got it and goes to the VA, I will be banned and denied entry as a caregiver to her. She will be alone to live or die among strangers in that little rock VA which is not the best hospital mind you. Even though the VA care is free. Its of relatively poor quality, just like Walter Reed was. UGH. She will just stay home and if she has to pass on, then she will not be alone in god's grace.

Thats the difference between medical coverage and medical requirements for certain persons who get sick this year. Things have changed so totally. We expect about 20 to 30K cancer deaths, about 15K heart deaths and about another 20K other deaths across the board because hospitals do not have the time or desire to care for these chronic conditiosn that are quietly killing them at home, insurance or not.

    Good luck to you.

I stuck it out at a mega carrier my first 14 months. My logic being their all the same. The better jobs open up after maybe a year, definitely two or three. I believe Holland Enterprise offers blue cross blue shield but you’ll need two solid years for them and gone for more time then was a good fit for me. The better jobs will also turn you away if you hop around a lot. Which goes to the point of my logic I first mentioned. In my short 5 years I’ve had 1 or 3 more jobs then I’d care to show on my resume. Truck companies are great at promising. Now making good on those promises is a different beast. Do your research but don’t expect much your first couple of years. ( last part is just my opinion)

Try rebooting your device or computer and give it another try. Sometimes rebooting makes all the difference.
