Yes ma'am. Doesn't matter if you're a company driver or not. It doesn't take a economist to figure out that higher rates will lead to a increase in sale prices. The customer still has to make a profit.
So, Just how tired are you ?

....lol okay

The way some people talk about this it's like they think any increase in our rates will raise our cost of living proportionately. That's just silly. There are many costs that determine the final price of what we buy. Transportation is a very small portion of that in most cases. As those other costs rise ours need to also or we're falling behind. -
Guess what?
That gallon of milk you bought last week for $3.75 is now 4.25. Gas is now $4.50/gallon, and you STILL have to pay 25% of your income to rent/mortgage as it will also go up.
Yah, raising wages will fix everything. -
Not sure what you consider 'everything' to be so I don't know if a rise in your wage would fix it.
Higher rates do lead to increases in the price of items we buy. There are many rates to take into account though. Ours are only a small portion of what makes up the final price. When any one of those other costs that contribute to the final price rise and our wages don't we lose buying power. It's not like a rise in the wage of a driver will be proportionately felt in the final cost of the items we deliver. -
Man I missed a lot. Last time I read we were still helping the op out now its all a lot of bickering and I have no popcorn
. Went from an argument about a super trucker that has a licence in 3 country's and thought the rules didn't apply to him. To somebody saying we don't work hard to inflation...I'm gonna have a boc of popcorn for tomorrow!
