Buy a map book the big motor carrier one and a car gps for maybe $100. Know your route and use your GPS more as a where are you now and how many miles to go. The expensive ones aren't worth the extra money. Nothing is better than using your brain power.
jacquesi23 Thanks this. -
I do agree with that. I still use google maps to look at the layout of the place and also to see where parking is. We have some tnd730 and a tablet one. They are overpriced and sometimes they don't pull up the streets u need so u still end up using google maps.
-
Well I got one yesterday.
Pretty sweet and also runs google maps.
Includes a digital version of carriers atlas but I will still keep a hard copy version.
Made sense for me as I was going to buy a tablet, gps and traffic camera anyway. Less wires this way.
Love the way it detaches so easily so you can use it as a hand held device. -
Never been a fan of "all in one" technology. If the device takes a crap, integrated extras do too.
-
An for some reason they always go out a few weeks after the warranty so they wanna charge u $100 bucks to send it in to fix it. -
-
I have the tablet and wish i would have gotten the 730 instead. The tablet is sub par and i ended up using it only as the GPS and pull up the atlas. As for the ones that say get a hard copy of the atlas but I dont get it why would you need the atlas and the digital atlas they are EXACTLY the same book. just one is in a digital format. Stop being afraid of future
-
I don't think many people are "afraid of the future" but instead know that the physical map book hasn't had some computer error since ............... and we all know it only happens at the most inopportune time.
-
It is literally the same book in digital form.
