    I CAN'T work 100 hours a week. #1, I'm not crazy
    #2, I'm not stupid
    #3, I'm not desperate
    &
    #4, I'm a senior citizen
And I don't mean to offend you by using the word 'stupid'. I just never understood why anyone would work 2 jobs (other than temporarily & for a specific purpose) when there are options like getting a job that actually pays the bills or going to school.

Thanks. Not sure but not interested in benefits at this point. For me, insurance is not about cost, it's about value. At my age a 401k isn't going to go far, even if I contribute the maximum. Health insurance is a maybe but an HSA & ObamaCare are good options when emoloyer sponsored plans are not available. I am completely against employer sponsored life insurance. Whether it's term or whole, the day you quit you have to get re-rated at your current age, minus the group discount you got through your employer. I have great dental & cancer/heart attack/stroke insurance now. All I need is some disability insurance & I'm fully protected.

I talked to a company yesterday in a small town near Nashville. They told me they paid 40 cents a mile. I thought I had gone back to 2010.

    LOL ⬆⬆⬆
I don't know what anyone pays. I didn't ever get that far in looking for a job. The job that I did get, my friend who is training me, says he makes $1200/wk. That's so much better than the $450 I'm used to making, I didn't pay attention to mileage. He did say I get extra for additional drops. Fine with me. I had multiple drops when I was driving for Cannon Express & I didn't get anything.
Something is better than nothing, I always say.

We laid a beautiful grey tabby to rest about 5 years ago. She was a real huntress out in Utah, we couldn't stop her from dragging her kills into the house. She was over 20 years old, but not 30 for sure. We couldn't keep her inside to save our lives. She would stay outside all night, even in the winter.

When we moved to Texas and there were coyotes out at night, she refused to go outside. She would walk out to the door and stick her nose up in the air... I saw her ears curve back and she ran back inside to safety. That's when she died, when she couldn't go outside anymore. It was sad because we rescued her as a kitten when she was lost in a nursery back when I was only in 7th grade.

We lost a couple of cats that didn't understand it was dangerous to go out at night. Despite us trying to keep them in doors, sometimes they would slip out. One Siamese lose was my fault when I went to my parents house to babysit for them while they went on vacation and watch their cats. I went outside to smoke a cigar and she ran out. We never saw her again. I heard the coyote hunting cries about 45 minutes after I lost her. It happened pretty close to the house. She had a black face and bright blue eyes. She was an emotional cat and when I lost her my mom cried. I felt bad.

When she got past me I think I said something like "come back cat" and she gave me a couple angry "meows" and then disappeared into the night. I know why, she didn't know me. She thought she was abandoned again. It was sad.

She was smart not to go outside. Coyotes travel in packs and are extremely aggressive toward prey animals like domestic cats & dogs.
