Many people on this website has been in a tough spot at some point in their lives. Past is the past, make changes today for tomorrow. If you haven’t called all those places the Chinese guy told you call yet then you don’t want it bad enough, but the attention is great I bet.

    1)
I myself do not smoke or drink coffee. I personally drink green tea and lemon zinger tea. These 2 particular teas have helped me in many ways.
    2) From time to time, I will also drink various mint teas which have really good health benefits.
    3) White tea, if you can come up with the money to pay the premium price, is considered one of the healthiest & elite of all teas in both ancient and present day China.

Oh, you REALLY want to know what, or IF, I'm waiting, don't you? I'm sorry that your life is so boring you need to feed on mine.
Sorry, but you can't have any more of my personal details. I got the advice I wanted. Now all the dimwits are chiming in.
Maybe you should stop driving since your life sucks so bad. There's a bustling world off of the freeway system. Or are you running away from something? Don't answer. I just can't care.

Hey your the one who chooses to have the "you want fries with that" job and your also the one who chooses to stay in an abusive relationship for whatever reason. You've had some good advice on here by some top professionals so don't insult us. We can insult back and I can tell you right now being 56 years old with an attitude like that all your ever gonna be is a "you want fries with that" worker. Good luck

Okay, one more private detail for your sick pleasure, & for me to demonstrate how wrong you are (in more ways than one). I had surgery recently. I'm not crippled anymore.
Surgery can't fix what's wrong with you. Argue with yourself now. Unlike you, I have an actual life to lead.

Here is another suggestion for you, well worth looking into:

    Navajo Express
    1400 W. 64th. Ave.
    Denver, CO 80221

    Navajo Express Terminals:
    Denver, Colorado
    Salt Lake City, Utah
    Tolleson, Arizona
    Pottsville, Arkansas

Navajo Express hauls a LOT of temperature controlled items to all 48 states. Sometime ago, a Navajo Express driver told me that the company hauls a LOT of these 4 items:
    1) beef
    2) beer
    3) pizza
    4) soda

If one thinks about it, these 4 items are serious job security, REGARDLESS of the economic conditions of the country.
    1) Beef is a staple in MANY Americans diets, not likely to change. Beef is a big seller at restaurants, supermarkets, convenient stores, retail outlets, and establishments where alcohol is served.
    2) Beer will ALWAYS sell, whether it is at the liquor stores, restaurants, supermarkets, convenient stores, retail outlets, or establishments where alcohol is served. There are pizza places that also sell beer.
    3) Pizza is often the number one item to be ordered when people are hungry, kids & adults alike, especially if meals have not been prepared in advance. Many employers order pizza for their employees when there is a company get together, or a major project has been successful.
    4) Soda is all over the place: retail outlets, restaurants, supermarkets, convenient stores, vending machines, and establishments where alcohol is served.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

You still have enough time under your belt, (a good 13 or 14 years), to get decent refresher training, and find a decent trucking company to get on with, decent pay, decent benefits, and a decent 401(K) plan, in which the employer matches your contribution.
    2) Lord willing, you will find a decent trucking company to both start out with and retire out of.

    NOTE:
Many good suggestions have been made in this forum for you. It is now all up to you.

Good luck to you! God bless you and your entire family!

You have some issues that we can’t help you with, most notably are excuses and anger issues. For that reason, I’m out.

Thank you & yes, I have gotten a lot of good advice here and away from here, too. I am slowly sorting through my options. Not every carrier is a good fit for every driver. For instance, I do not prefer to drive an automatic. I like standard transmissions. My 4-wheeler is a standard & I learned to drive in a '63 Volkswagon. I'm concerned that having only automatic transmission experience may hold me back should I choose to change jobs. I have been discriminated against before when looking for trucking jobs or when unloading because I'm a small adult and OTHERS often find me very attractive. And now with my age adding to that... I'm trying to look down the road and not hust jump into the first job that I hear about. I am employed & I do have money for now, thus I can afford to step wisely and not hastily.
I will look into Navajo today. You have made some excellent points about the freight they haul. Thanks again.

Doesn’t matter, when the kid with 3 months experience can do the exact same job you do, why would the company pay you more?
