Drive for any amount of hours less than eight, unload a trailer without taking a 30-minute break and then drive again and pass your eight hour of on-duty status and see if you don't get popped if your logs are checked by DOT.

I can tell by reading some of the interpretations of the 30 minute break rule the DOT is going to make a killing with log violations! Haha

mm, ok. The point I was making is that you can remain on line 4 past that 8 hour mark which is at odds with 'One must take a 30-minute break at least once every eight hours of SERVICE'

Why are some averse to taking a break?
Take a little me time for yourself every now and then. Treat yourself to a hot meal or enjoy a nice shower.
Don't worry, you are entitled to that under the law now.
