So I filled out a few apps.
Did one interview and drug test ( obvious pass )
Job offer is sucking fry oil like I used to.
$18/hr 40 hrs week minimum. 100% paid health insurance, one pair of boots paid per year. Pretty much driving single axle straight trucks.
15 min from home m-f weekends off.
Or do I keep looking and applying to cdl a jobs?
No calls yet on those.
Gotta make a decision the next week or so before I go home for hometime.
Most local a jobs here are paying 19-21 to start. Heavy straight trucks like trash and dump trucks are paying 18-25.
Hmmm...
So what to do

No one can make that decision except you. Working conditions sound pretty good, but $18 an hour doesn't go far in Boston. In my neck of the woods, drivers would be killing each other for that job though.

Are you in Boston proper?

Just north

Well i have a suggestion, but its down by Franklin, dont know if thats to far south for you... ill keep noodling it

If it's not much more than what you're getting now then why not? At $18/hr you're doing OK, but who wants to work 70 hours for a decent check? Other factors not mentioned: wife works? Kids? Rent/own?

$18 an hour with 100% of your health insurance paid, That's sound good to me if the insurance is a PPO and not an HMO.

100% insurance is 100% of premium, correct?
That leaves the question, "what is the deductible and all other details"
