Been of the road for about a year and a half. Anything big change that I should know about. HOS still the same? Are they still talking about on-board recorders? I'm going to go back if it still the same old job. Least until they mandate those darn recorders. Oh and how has freight been? Is it down real bad or what? I'm looking at driving a skateboard in a Long haul div.

Okay so are you guys running or what? What maybe 2500 to 3000 per week. Also what's this 50 mph thing you were talking about.

Also, what's the big deal with fuel? Don't the companies just charge more to haul. I thought that was why the cost of everything was going up, increased fuel surcharges. But like I say I've been out of the loop for a while ya'll tell me how it is.

We run hard, but we are team, we usually average about 5-6k a week, the solo guys I know are getting 2.5k-3k on 48, 2kish on dedicated, but the dedicated guys tend to make the same pay as the 48 states and get home weekends, lamers.

Timed Transit loads are loads that once loaded they give you EXACTLY the amount of time to get them there at 50 mph nonstop, no more no less.

My pay hasn't decreased, and my company, Werner, has been installing APU's in their trucks to reduce fuel costs, put it this way. We've had ours exactly 1 week and our idle went from 45% to 14% and we get 7.1 mpg average now so they are making it up that way.

Now if we can convince Schneider of that, us drivers could wake up dry in the mornings.
