    Destroying the economy. lmao.
best to just let everything keep gong to china , till we don't have an economy to destroy. lol
Are the rates any worse now, that they were a few years ago, or did everybody get used to the high rates generated by the best economy we have had in years, and somehow think they will be going broke if they have to go back to the same old rates we had before?
Are oo's really dropping like flys, or is it like always just weeding out the ones that don't tend to business?
I am not seeing any evidence of a down turn even close to as bad as some in the past, and am lucky as we are swamped with more freight than we have had in several years.

Tug Toy, lilillill and Western flyer Thank this.

The world is coming to an end. Do you really think it would b better to carry on the way we have been and give China the rest of our jobs??
The good thing is, I do not have to think, facts are facts and numbers don't lie, the economy has been better than it has been in many years.
Again, how bad is it really, how many huge repo lots have gone up all over the country and truck finance companies gone belly up?
I see guys whining, I do not see evidence of a wholesale bunch of oo's going under.

Livestock production isn’t down. Not sure where you’re getting that from. Cargill and National Beef are still killing around 6000 head each at their plants in Dodge City, I’m not sure what the kill is at National in Liberal a day. And Tyson just lost their plant in Holcomb KS to a fire and they’re going to be needing trucks since everything that was supposed to be killed there now has to go to Amarillo, Lexington, or Dakota City.

Luckily he was only leasing and wasn’t an owner operator. He’d really be losing his mind if he couldn’t walk away from his truck. Lol.

No big deal, it won't be long till every thing is going to be free FREE I tell you.
I am just hoping I can pawn my trucks off on some poor fool that doesn't realize that we will no longer have diesel.
They need to double up at the kill plants, before we have to get rid of all the cows too.

In 2018, 1 in 4 hogs raised in the US was shipped to China as meat product.. That market is now gone bye bye..

To add insult to injury China right now has a very serious pork shortage due to disease and have drastically increased their pork imports that "would have" come from the US if not for the tariffs.. Instead they now get it elsewhere..

The trade war is making U.S. pork producers squeal

“U.S. pork exports to world markets in 1Q19 were down 5% compared to 1Q18, largely due to retaliatory tariffs (from Mexico and China) or trade agreements to which the U.S. is not a party (i.e. the E.U.-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement),” the report said. “U.S. pork exports to China and Hong Kong were down a staggering 24% in 1Q19.”

i71 then i271 leads right to 80 or in reverse to 30. It's in Ohio but puts you back on i80 after the tolls stop. You can also go straight to i90 if you need to go up into NY or something..

So the farmers get more subsidy, I have seen top hogs sell at a whopping 6 cents a pound, and guess what, we are all still here. Why should our companies be paying China huge tarrifs and they get a free pass??
