I was behind a flatbed sod carrier( he w as empty) gling thru a scale and scalemaster yelled over p.a. at him to pull over and sweep all that excess dirt off. So bring a broom with you
So you need sod?

Interesting! I'd never heard of or seen the flat sod before... Had to check on the google to see a picture of it! I've just done stuff for either the regular rolls, or the big rolls. Not that I haul any of it, I just work on some of the equipment, so I'm not any help there!

I've noticed down in Georgia most of the sod haulers only strap a few of the pallets but never all of them? Is there a reason for this?
-
And around here most everything is in squares on the pallets, mostly for the from yard of new homes and business, I see a few of the big rolls, and rarely see the small ones
-
Not to long ago you only had to strap the front and back pallets in MN.
snowman_w900 and 4mer trucker Thank this. -
Do you know why that is?

I guess I was meaning why isn't sod secured like regular flatbed freight? you can't haul a load of block, or anything else on pallets like that?
