dont want to be an OUTLAW
just log it how you do it, and you will never have a problem
getting ready for the impending Elogs, so ignorance of the law is no excuse -
The regs you see are the ones in the little book sold in the truck stops go get the big book that JJ Keller sells on line that's the one fleets use not that little book. -

I encourage all owner ops to do the same thing but on a smaller scale to hang in there with the big boys and let the shippers get mad at them for pushing for these regs.
Cut some grass or get some of your kids to do it while you are out on the road. This is no joke bud it's gonna be a ruff ride and these tips I'm telling you about can make it harder on the mega carriers than you can even imagine. The reason why I said cut some grass is because you can make 50 grand a year cutting grass if ya work hard enough but you can't be in two places at once so ya hire some cheap labor to do it for you while you pilot that truck.
These carriers will raise rates at some point and they hope it's alert you go under what I'm saying is and this is from the heart give em a good fight give em one that they'll wish they never started. If you have other cash laying around or can scrape it together put it to work for you now before it's too late, sells some hot dogs, get a lemonade stand started, create the next new candy craze in short think outside the box and you can thank me later or if you wish you can make fun of me now don't make me no difference I know that these are the things I must do once I receive my huge settlement and this time my cash will work for me not the other way around.
The big boys are counting on you guys not knowing these tips and hope that these rates you work for now don't allow you enough wiggle room to grow a safety net to stay in business but you can just be smart about it if you have a second set of skills use them while you can but whatever you do don't go under!
Yes they will raise rates it's only logical but passing the increase on to drivers will only result in a spare change mentality as its always been for the last 30 years, just enough to keep your mouth shut is what they have done and will continue to do because what's being paid to haul that load is generally a mystery and as long as they stay in power mega companies brokers and the like it will continue to stay that way. -
