So, .......... as a result of a hassle, and $900 out-of-pocket,
your brother was forced to do what he wanted to do in the first place?
ShuX HowdY!
He coulda stayed at a luxury Holiday Hotel with a hot tub and mirrors on the dad-burned ceilin' for half the price. Probably have valet parkin' too.
Nine-hundred bucks to park a Big truck on the street over night makes the Big truck truck stop prices for parkin' seem cheap. I wonder if the Holiday Hotels have commercial company?
Surely they must, ....... right?
And all this relates to safety, ................. I'm told to think.
What I believe is another story, entirely different. :smt112
so, you think your safe with the elog and hos.

Same situation on paper logs...
You just got kicked out of the DC... you're over your 14, closest mini-truck stop is overflowing, so you head down the road to the nearest Walmart and get pulled over by the State Police.
The difference (maybe) is that you falsified your logbook to make it look like you have hours. So now you're guilty of committing two minor crimes instead of one. So maybe you don't get caught like Roadmedic's friend did on elogs. What's all of the whining over this anyway? In both cases you're still out of hours, and it's just the same ol' Catch-22 game. Just don't be doing something else illegal that will attract the attention of the cops, and maybe you get away with it on elogs. -
everyone should just quit and we'll manufacture drones that can fly freight all across the country. No more deaths on the highways. Might be a good time to learn drone maintenance.
-
Just because you falsified your paper does not make you un safe
Western flyer and AfterShock Thank this. -

That doesnt make sense .

Sure it does, in both examples safety is not determined by compliance. However when something goes wrong, compliance is going to prove your negligence.
