cant wait for all the new rules,i will feel so much safer knowing we have all those nasty law breaking drivers on paper off the road.all us old experienced drivers are the problem anyway.i look around and see so many more competent drivers, watching tv,phone foot on dash while driving.yes America we will be safer, just cant wait.also tell me when you are spending more time on road, sitting at ts how are you making the same money,oh trip planning you say, what about that 3 hour road block today on i77 in va how do i plan for that

You should be doing the same on paper as you do with the EOBR.

It does not matter if you are on elogs or paper logs, the rules are the same... just easier for you to disregard the rules on paper, and not get caught, and have to pay the consequences.

And yes there are many people driving trucks that should not be, and elogs will not change that... neither will staying with paper logs...

Could be the reason we have the new stricter rules and the incoming plan of the EOBR.

    peterd and TLeaHeart Thank this.

Some of you guys are acting like this is just happening to trucking, this kind of thing is just a representation and extension of what is happening in everyday life. Society and the world in general is changing (not saying I like it) but just look at the stuff you got a way with when you were growing up vs kids today.

Some of the stuff I did in the 60's was classified as a misdemeanor, and the worse part was the beating you got from your dad, not what the cops were going to charge you with. But some of the stuff I did back then would be a felony today!

To a degree I feel that e-logs "insulate" me from the "felony", it's just to #### easy these days to make a mistake, and get the book thrown at you for it.

It really amazes me that they believe that the recent drivers are the reason. It is the history of the industry and their desire to control.
