It's been 3 years of drought, after slightly more than 1.5 years of 3.5 - 4 dol a mile freight for general freight and $100 000 @ 2.99% EIDL loans and $6,000-10, 000 hand outs to solo o/os, and those with a dozen trucks received 4 times that. That's all given out to trucking businesses despite the record high rates. Every Joe and Ivan loaded with bags of cash.
Truck and trailer sales went exorbitant. Their prices too. From 155 k Cascadias to 220k and even with that there was no VIN allotment available. Dry vans were 6 months out for over 60k! That's not even inflation. That's a frenzy!
The industry is still reaping the poisoned harvest of what the government sowed. Way too much money given out to the wrong hands.
But now they offer to pay $1.85 for 300 mile runs...lol. This can't last another 3 years.
