Can anyone recommend a company for me to get on right out of school? (Yes I have googled, but a lot want exp.) I'd like to get on with Mr. Pyro but still waiting to see if he likes my resume. ; ) I have exp. working as a laborer on the pipeline in ND (I was suppose to get on the line going through LA but never got called and quite frankly getting sick of the oil industry from a laborers stand point as its VERY hard to get on because there are 100 guys for every position) Any way I am going to be graduating this week from truck driving school and want to find a company that will take on a "Newb" such as myself. My two other options are either weiner *cough *cough I mean Werner, and someone that wants me to hual belly dump in Duluth, MN for $200/Day with no bennies or housing. Appreciate all and any help I can get for suggestions.

The guy I might haul for lives in southeast MN where I do, I don't know too many details about it yet. I know he only has four trucks and there's more than four people looking into the job (including me). Its not suppose to start until middle to late Jan. if I find out anymore I will PM you grimm. On a side note; anyone have any ideas for me? I will be graduating next Tuesday and need to get an internship set up in order to complete the course. I went to jobsnd.com but all the discriptions are very vague as far as pay and quite frankly the pay is lower on the job listings than I had previously thought. How about OT; do most companies pay it? Benefits? Suppose I could labor up there if there aren't any jobs for recent grads. Thanks again for any information/guidence help I can get.

A friend of mine is leasing on (he has his own authority also) as power only with KC Transport and Sand. He'll be on the road hauling sand from Minot, ND to Sidney, Mt with a belly dump (theirs). Google the name and you'll get the phone number. He said they're looking for at least 4 more trucks.

If you are able to go to the area and look for work I have no doubt you'd get hired doing some thing.

A friend of mine is an engineer in Dickinson and he says that pretty much breathing and passing the whiz quiz will get you hired.
After that showing up on time and passing the whiz quiz almost ensures your job.

KC would be running pneumatics not belly dumps.

Thank you. Would you reccomend going to the company offices and asking for work? Or what? Thanks again for responding, I'm trying to get a lot of info quickly as I'm a week away from graduation and need to get something set up.

I spoke to my friend up there and he gave me some resources that might help.

Search zip codes 58601 and 58801.
You can search by citys also, Beach, Williston, Dickinson, Bellfield etc.

    http://jobsnd.com/

He says there is a lot of action going on right now and they expect things to get much busier once spring hits.
Housing is hard find with one bed apartments going for $700.

Thanks a lot Brickman! You have been quite helpful. I have checked into jobsnd.com and a lot of them want exp. The guy I'm going to haul belly dump for is thinking about getting over to ND next year. I think I should stay with him until I get some exp. And and after we have been there a while I'll be able to apply for another company that hauls crude. That way I'll already be in ND and I can tell companies that I have oil field exp, after a while I'm hoping to get into water hauling and then eventually crude hauling. I've always wanted to haul a tanker of some sort. Does anyone know how long the work is projected to last up there? Thanks again!
