    Hi MoneyCat,

Just a newbie considering going up to the oilpatch. Have 15 years otr, petro tanker and haz experience. Is that 3k per quarter, or 3k split into 4 quarters? Everything I read about the oilpatch seems too good to be true, just wanting to get some insight before I apply. thanks

Caudill ...my advise is get up here. I landed a job hauling crude with Black Hills. I came up last month so I was fortunate to train in 40+ degree weather. It snowed last night and chilly this morning at 14 Degrees. If you can hack the cold you will do fine. Bring an RV or something to live in. People are renting basements out for 3,000 a month.

Its 3k per quarter + 150bux walmart card for having no spills/accidents/paperwork filled correctly. Once the quarter is up you get the usual check & a separate check for 3k. :biggrin_25520:

grindout from side of truck, 2 samples 4" from bottom of tank. Oh yah, if you buy w/o grinding & it turns out to be excess water -- kiss that 3k bonus goodbye.

Just for wondering minds there are like 50 campers in Walmart parking lot... And double that people living out of cars in the Walmart parking lot. I just left there and Walmart is bare ... The lines are a mile long and take forever to get to checkout. Mc donalds... I've been in line for 15 min and not even close to the order screen. 9 cars are in front of me as I type this.

There are about 20 campers on the north side of McDonalds parking lot...

Now all the campers are gone from Walmart parking lot... I guess Walmart made them all leave... Including the cars that people were also living in.
