Would hauling cars be consistent for back-hauls?

At times it is. We look for freight first, and if there isn't any available where we have a truck, then we look the best paying vehicles. We haul whatever it takes to keep moving, and making a profit.

You'll need to have more than just one load board account, especially right now. It's very slow still, probably won't pickup much until Feb/Mar.

    Getloaded.com, truckersedge.net , 123loadboard.com , truckstop.com , centraldispatch.com

Hello sir, I need advice on creative financing to purchase a truck & trailer specifically for a Hot Shot business. I'm an experienced CDL A driver that is basically scrounging up gigs off uShip and other free resources to barely get by. I've always had a strong desire to have my own business, now that I have had quite a few years in transportation, the knowledge and drive I have I believe will be enough to make it in the Hot Shot industry. My first and foremost obstacle is getiing a truck and trailer purchased. And I don't have good credit unfortunately from younger mistakes, so I'm afraid that even if I do find a place to finance me for equipment I need to Hot Shot with, will the payments and interest outweigh my potential profitability or make it merely impossible to do really well financially in this biz.
Are there any helpful resources for a guy with poor credit and no consistent income coming in to still be able to purchase a truck and trailer to start a hot shot biz and still be able to come out on top ? Should I look into government small biz loans to buy my equipment, or are there institutions or programs designed solely around hot shot equipment?
Not sure if I check into a lease program with someone, or find a fleet owner and work out a lease plan with them, or is my only option if I can't get financed with reasonable terms to continue being a company driver until I can afford to purchase my own equipment ? Really need some advice and/resourceful guidance please. Thank you!

HotShotter, I need your help. I'm a CDL A driver that is hoping to find a Hot Shot business model that fits my situation. I've looked into this for quite some time, but one thing stands to be my largest obstacle, I don't have a truck and trailer to start running hot Shot loads, I also don't have the best credit, and with no longer driving full time for a company and bringing in a steady paycheck I'm almost positive my bank will laugh if I propose my biz plan of Hot Shot trucking and how much I need financed for a truck and trailer to begin this biz. I don't have a down payment or steady income just random independent gigs I do to get by, and to throw in the mix bad credit. I'm sure there are institutions that would get me the equipment I need but would it be so high that I would be destined for failure before I even started. Any dealerships that are helpful with this situation?
Should I apply for a Small Biz Loan through a specific organization that maybe promotes small trucking biz startups or government backed programs for guys with a plan based off Hot Shot Trucking, but don't have the equipment or financial resources to obtain the equipment?? I would greatly appreciate any helpful advice or resources. Thank you!

It takes a lot of money, or, good credit and still a lot of money to start in any type of trucking. I'm not affiliated with any lenders. My advice, Keep working, saving, and do everything you can to repair your credit.

Fuel cards and savings; it's pretty much straight forward as to what they do. But has anyone's expectations of using them been disappointing?
