Drove right by the house! Was that you roaring those jakes?
Oh c'mon, Pilot, you can't leave me hanging like that. We still have time to save ourselves. At least shoot me a pm.
So you want to "own " your own company

Hey Hwy! How goes the battle?
Not looking real good for me being home when you come up to NE. Might be heading down to Texas. Anything to escape this nasty weather. Might play around down there for a few days than back up North.
Sounds like some issues with the truck. Sorry to hear that. I could use some new batteries myself. Should have replaced them in the fall when new batteries would have really done me some good this past winter. Hope everything is tip-top for your run up to NE. I forgot... what kind of trailer are you pulling? -

Picking up the wife and moving to North Carolina...well there goes your 50 large!
Before you invest your hard earned money, I would suggest you take a job as a company driver OTR. This will allow you to improve upon your newly learned skills and also give you time to realize if this is the lifestyle you want to be in for the forseeable future. -
It's good that you have that kind of money saved up. You'll need it. I'd advise hanging on to it until you know that you like this kind of job before you spend it all on the truck, insurance, etc., and find out it's not as easy as it looks. -
poor shmuk: If you don't want to become a poor shmuk find a gig as a paramedic in NC. That's my advice.

Dr. D
These guys are right. Even the long timers are stuggling right now. Us the 50K and go to nursing school. You already have the background in it, and you'll make a ton more money! But if your heck bent on driving, get a job with a company first. Let them spend their money so you can learn!slabrunner, HwyPilot and Dr Demented Thank this.
