I read all of your post and watched as you bought that truck and fixed it up the way you wanted. (you know where at)

 

I'm assuming CAD but don't know who you are.

 

I don't know that I ever posted there, just read threads until I joined here. If I did post, it was very few, but I don't remember any. I kept up with your thread till just before you left out on your first trip, then checked in only a couple times after that.

 

I ran for 2 solid years and then the lab I worked in asked me to come back and help out for 2 weeks. That was over a year ago. Just as well since it really sucks out there. I still keep up my insurance and authority and haul a load here and there. I hope to get back out full time in the spring.

I spent about $20,000 this past year fixing up and adding stuff to my truck.

 

I went back OTR coast to coast team last Jan thru Aug, then started my business up again. I hope I never have to go back out again. But I know I can go back to the same company anytime I need to if times get tight again.

Thanks. I pretty much didn't care what shape it was in. I bought it because it was red...lol

I had the frame sandblasted and painted with rubberized paint this year. Put a Rigmaster, Carrier A/C unit on top and an Espar heater. New Chrome grill, Davco fuel filter, carpets and new oak cabinets.

I'm ready to get back out there. I love driving!!!

 

My trailer is an 05 and it was brand new bought in 06. I had a 60" box put on it. Cargo securement isn't such a big deal. The biggest misconception I had was that chains should be on angles like when securing a vehicle. I was told and found out the most force is produced with direct downward tension.
