well, I am starting to wonder about fuel mileage now.

This truck does have the clutch pedal, not sure if it is usable for starting and stopping? Unless that is a requirement....but it is there.

Anyway, this is a 10spd overdrive, with a 3:70 ratio. what might i be looking at for a mpg? is that ratio good or bad when it comes to fuel mileage? Thanks

Does that listing look like overpriced junk to you? If it does, I would like to know.
And I think I have seen you say they only take 3 out of 100 that apply somewhere before. But to answer your question honestly, no, I don't know if they will accept me. What I CAN tell you is this. I meet their requirements. I have done the pre-app, and they sent me the qualification app, which I have done and returned to them as well. They are going over it right now, and said to call back on Friday if they haven't yet called me. So I guess I will know soon if I am accepted or not?

Yes, I have been trying to figure out more information on the weights. I am a company driver right now, and the most I ever haul is 45K LB. So I was thinking that was probably the most I would ever haul in my own Tractor-Trailer as well. So the math I did, was 80K LB GVW - 45K LB load - 15K LB Trailer = 20K LB Truck with fuel. Can anybody shine some light on this?

And heavyhaulerss, are you saying your empty wait is 29K with fuel and a trailer? Or no Trailer?

It looks like a highly detailed truck that I will bet has close to a million miles on it. Read carefully, the transmission was overhauled, not the engine. He probably bought it for 20,000.

I watched the the custom sleeper market for several years till I found mine. If you watch the truck paper long enough you will see trucks for sale by owner and then see them later in his ads. The good ones are hard to find.

If you can buy from the owner then fix what is needed you can save a lot of money.

For your information you app is being processed by a contractor, they do the pre screening (culling) then LS checks out the ones they suggest and have the final say, after you are hired LS will run a full background investigation on you.

Yes that is correct. Mine is going through RKY, I do know that. It said it right on the app. So now you have me worried. They told me they were gonna pull the normal things. But if it then has to be passed to Landstar, how long might I be looking at here?

And also, I am ready to get into the O/O mode asap. Please tell me some places to watch for trucks, or do you think truck paper is good, but just look real hard?

You bought a truck and you have no idea how to get started???

I'll give 4 to 1 odds the truck is gone within a year.
