Good God, Sanderson. Stop being a Navy boy/Fed. DOT officer for 5 seconds and have a laugh for Christ's sake.

I only honk at wildlife. Cows are for eating, not honking at. Antelope in wyoming on the other hand just look at you like you are stupid. Deer in central indiana can not get off of the road fast enough. Too many hippies around bloomington that like wildlife and don't want to disturb them, so I will.

I give a quick honk at deer on the road. I find a quick blast usually freaks them out and sends them scurrying. I never plan on doing that to mountain sheep or moose.

The only time I honked at cattle was when I was in the oilfield. Our wireline truck was on the wellsite and a cow decided to come upto us and rub its butt all over one of our fenders. A quick shot of the horn made it leave, and the new guy who was with me had a pressure washing duty later that day. haha

I was driving an RV on vacation in Alaska and came upon a moose in the middle of the road. I stopped and he just stood there looking at me. I hit the airhorns, and he continued to look at me...daring me. He finally left of his on accord, absolutely on his own time.

Yeah, you beat me to it. While it may be funny to see somebody crap themselves, there are consequences. Usually we have no idea why the public hates us. . .:smt067

I believe this is the first post of yours that I completely DISAGREE with. It's fine to have a laugh, Crow, but how funny is it when that old duffer that is about to take a swing, has a heart attack instead?

I'll be happy to tell you that. And it will be the truth. I'm not saying that some cops don't do that, and a whole lot more. But it is a #### good way to get complaints filed against you.

My career was always more important to me than checking out some babe. Besides that, I was married most of my years as a cop.

And the chances of that happening are???

I wasn't thinking about the golfers, etc. when I made that remark, but rather the livestock and wild animals.
