I've got the 5K for the school I am planning to attend. I will be paying back my mother. My father left it to me before he passed away. She needs it for her retirement & I have already promised I would be working to pay it back. My mother is a good person & I am a part of her, & my father, a man whom worked 70 hour weeks until he was very sick. I hope I've represented her & my father well in this thread & I hope I will continue to represent them well throughout my life & my career. Now that I am sober, there is little more important to me than using the mind I inherited. Even when I was using, there was little more important to me than mind, knowledge, & life lessons.
Thank you, EVERYONE. EVERYONE. That includes you, Dusty.

My last post. This is crazy. It will be a quick generalization of what I've learned in my long 2 month career as a truck driver.
1. All drivers are full of ####. (Me included)
2. It's the most regulated industry but back asswards industry.
3. All companies are full of ####. (Mine included)
4. You can make the same or more waiting tables. Don't fall for the so much a year bs.
5. Drivers are the dirtiest laziest fattest people on the planet. (Ok I'm not included in this one)
6. When in doubt revert back to rule one.

Op you're very easy going any company would be more then happy to welcome you onboard but they must follow the laws and this industry is so federal regulated and drivers are on the most tighest of leashes and getting worse every year. But there are some things companies have their own policies which can either be harder or easier to hire drivers.

Good luck to the op you will find a job in trucking if that's what you want. I overcame the same addiction years ago have never picked up since now days i despise drugs. The most important thing is that's behind you now so remain clean and things will keep looking up. Wish you the best brother.
