Submit the online application for Carolina Cargo. They may give you a pre-hire letter which means they'll hire you if you complete cdl school. They run hard doing west coast turnarounds and you'll see California every few days.
They don't go by what's on the website concerning hiring qualifications. They really bend the rules.

Unless you are better at physics the me, and I have a PhD from Mizzou, then you cannot do anything about your past so worrying about it is a waste of time and energy. Just don't keep making the same choices and you will be fine. You should have learned that drugs are bad and have a better understand of that fact then I have. For me it is theory for you it is life.

Past drug use is something that you will have to deal with everyday but I do not think it is the end of the world. Go to a DOT Doctor and ask the questions you need to know. They can tell you without having to report it.

The only way your past medical history is going to come up is if you snitch on yourself on the dot physical form. The correct answer to every question on the dot physical form is "No."

That's true! You'll get a DOT physical for cdl school, so remember that.
    Don't ask; don't tell.

I just want to thank everyone here for all of your time spent trying to help me & encourage me. I don't remember the last time I joined a forum where I got this much help in my 1st thread.

Chinatown, I am going to apply to Carolina Cargo tomorrow. Thank you for the recommendation. Wooly, I've just looked up some DOT doctors in my state & I am going to try to arrange to talk with one of them. Thank you all.

Well, if you needed those test to qualify then you "passed" them and not "failed" them.

Just don't say tested positive... ;-)

Remember, don't ask; don't tell. Many drivers that post on here, shot themselves in the foot by talking to much to DOT doctors. Anything you say to the doctor, he/she may note it on the long form, then any trucking company can see it plus it's registered with the state DMV.

Nothing in your post is going to stop you from getting a job in trucking. Your accidents, if you weren't cited shouldn't be on your record...call your Ins Co for a copy of your record....Prescriptions you no longer take...nothing there. Criminal record?...expunged and employer won't find record of it. The only ones that will be privy to it is the Govt..It could prevent you from getting a Hazmat endorsement, TWIC and entrance into Canada.

The only thing that may be a roadblock is on any application if you are asked if you ever been arrested for whatever...not sure what you do there. Me personally, I wouldn't lie about it.

The last is A hair follicle, some Co's give them so if you don't have long hair you should pass that.
