Popo, don't hear the commercial enforcers referred to them as such that often. No clue where the DOT generalization short-hand originated from. Early CB days instead of saying something more ridiculous like "truck cops" or "safety Nazi's" I'm guessing.

 

Most coops are understaffed, especially in Canada. They work mostly bankers hours because there isn't enough people to cover an the shifts.

I see the MOT at the Timmies in Moosomin, SK more than I see that scale open.

 

NY I-88 and I-86 will have inspections running 24/7. I've rolled through at midnight on a weekend and the dot was pulling in trucks at the rest area just west of Binghamton. During blitz they'll have more than one open at a time both directions and it seems like they do a blitz every 6-8 weeks.
