Yet another trick is to simply take the key with you whenever you leave the truck.
I know, it is too stupidly sensible.
Solution if you lock your keys in your truck...

On the freightlinersI seen a driver pop the bottom door window out. Seems like he tucked a string around behind the outer gasket and just pulled it around ina circle releasing the inner gasket. Then reached up in there with long Clint Eastwood arms and opened door releaseon the inside..

I know of many companies where one key fits all their trucks. Plus as a convicted Felon, NO LOCK WILL EVER HOLD ME AGAIN.

That's all manufacturers. I have a Kenworth master set of keys, and it's surprisingly fewer keys than one would expect.mje Thanks this.

The day I got my fuel card from my boss he handed me a spare key to my truck as well, all of ours are keyed different. I keep it on my key ring with my pickup/house keys which never leave my belt loop and leave the other key in the ignition. I used to drive an old CH Mack with the push in to lock door handles..... Well, at a fuel stop somewhere in Virginia, my knee must have hit that darn door handle when I got out. Imagine my surprise when I tried getting back in... I went back into the TS and purchased a cheap pair of vise grips and locked them on the wing window outside knob and carefully turned until the wing window latch turned enough to open. The next time I got back to the yard I had a spare key made and never had that problem again.

That was smart duh nd if it was me i wouldn't think about doing this i was gonna let the locksmith guy do it because i feel bad when i lock myself in nd the last time i locked myself out my company sent a driver with another key to open my door i was 98 miles away from the yard nd im a local driver but i hate doing this nd they start calling me carelessmje Thanks this.

Loose the wind-wing, cheapest glass. Hmmm a rock must have hit it. Always carry a spare key, like to tie-wrap one under the hood

That works with a 379 Pete too!!! Don't ask me how I know this. I blame the dog. I got back in that's all that matters. Its also why I never lock the door on my bunk on the drivers side either. If you have a truck with wing windows and ever lock yourself out if you leave them unlocked as well sometimes you can reach through there to unlock your door. Don't ask me how I know that either...I blame Casper the not so friendly ghost. Those won't windows also make a great way to shoot WD40 into an air cleaner in the winter when your truck doesn't want to start so you don't need a helper to get the darn thing running.

When I was a company driver I locked myself out. I was driving a 9400 international, there was another driver parked beside me driving the same truck. I asked him if he could use his key to unlock my door... Guess what it worked. Now I wear a door key around my dog tags..

Why can't you just use a coat hanger on these new trucks?
