No, I'm talking about trucks with two interrupts switches, one for the trailer, one for the headlights. I've been in some prostars that were equipped that way.
Some "courtesy" questions for us newbies

The subject comes up on here ALOT because flashing your brights is moronic. I know you are mr high and mighty pilot (probably a flight attendant) but get over yourself.kw9's rock Thanks this. -
2. Try to give them some room without causing problems for others and them. Use the cb to let them know you are coming around. I have had truckers who have passed me and almost caused an accident because they didnt pay attention to the cb or my blinker when there were 4 lanes to use and I had a wide load with some folks on the shoulder changing a tire. As I have put in a previous post, we have a lot more going on than what you think and can use more drivers like you that are asking questions, no kidding.
3. Always thank them if ya can
4. Who cares what the hothead thinks, do your thing and take your time to do it right until you get more experience to do it a little faster. Better slow and safe than fast and a jackwagon.
I hope this helps -
If you dont have an interrupt to say thanks, just hit the flashers for a second.

Always take your time in the dock rather than hitting something possibly. If you're taking an extreme amount of time let people go by if there is room before doing another pull up. Mr. Impatient won't be the one dealing with safety when you back into something, it'll be you.

OTOH I learned a long time ago that no matter what I do, someone is going to get their panties in a wad. So me doing something that might bother you really isn't a concern of mine. Sorry Charlie.
So I could agree that you're right, and promise not to bother you anymore and never flash my lights again. But that's not going to stop a light sensitive driver from being blinded by the DOT road crews. Its also not going to stop every Tom Dick and Harry from flashing you multiple times a night. So yeah, I'll stand by my previous comments. If you're actually blinded that easily, not bothered, not annoyed, but actually impaired, then get off the road.

Some drivers have no choice but to flash their high beams due to the way their DRL's are wired. International and Volvo did have enough sense to offer headlamp interrupt switches to take care of that issue but to summarily dismiss drivers who do that as "moronic" is itself moronic.
When I'm in my personal vehicle, a VW Jetta, I have to flash my high beams as the headlamp switch only offers 2 positions, DRL and full lamps.
Whether I get the high beam or not, I still appreciate the gesture and I thank them for it regardless. -
It leads me to believe that they also are the one's who DO NOT look into their mirror when making lane changes, they just pass and come on over...Raiderfanatic Thanks this.
