If an owner operator can't afford to pay him self a decent wage with one truck, how is it these carriers and or mega carriers can afford drivers as well as the maintenence as we all know company driver is beating the #### out of company equipment?
Are trucking companies/brokers ####ing/stealing that much from owner operators? -
Direct shipper contracts.
Low equipment financing. Some megas own the dealerships themselves. Buy direct from manufacturer then resell in 3-5 yrs for almost what they got from the manufacturer.
Cheap fuel provided by truckstops. Big discounts
