had my mother call in. He's calling me chicken ####, and unprofessional for not telling him first and he's saying that I'm the first student ever to get off of his truck even though, he's been sued for sexual harassment before apparently.
Sued for sexual harassment before and the company said he was ok and sent you out with him anyway? WTFrick!?
Getting violent how? If you feel endangered, remove yourself and your belongings at the first safe location. PM me details. Apparently, this guy has gone beyond just being a jerk.
Sent message to injun on details. They are getting me off at the end of the day tomorrow in atlanta I think.
I'd get off the truck now and ask for a bus ticket to the nearest Swift terminal. Cussing you out and using you is unacceptable period. You need someone who will properly train you and not use you. I have read and followed this thread and feel bad for you. KH
I have a more full picture of what's going on through several PMs from the O/P. KH and others, your concern for this student is very appreciated. She knows what to do. It's up to her from this point. I will not comment further until the issue is resolved.
You shouldn't even wait to get off at the terminal,I would get off at the first truck stop in sight, if your drivng just pull the truck in there grab all your things and tell him see ya, if he is driving next time he pull in to a truck stop get ur stuff and exit. Call phoenix terminal tell them where you at and you need to get a ride with the next swift truck passing by because of the situation was getting violent and you had to get off your mentor truck, they will have a driver pick u up and take you to the terminal. They are going to know what happen because you have to write a statement why you get off the truck and he has to do the same ( you can start writing if you haven't been doing so) that's Mandatory when you get off a mentor truck without being finish as long as you didn't just quit. Personally I would not spend another minute on that truck... Hope it get better with the next mentor (more than likely it will)
Some people drive with the engine brake on 24/7 I don't see why and nobody can give me a good reason (if you going up hill why do you need the engine brake on? If you are on a flat level surface why do you need the engine brake on?) Can someone on here explain the reason? I had a student which was an experience driver we were going through charlotte, nc haulin 13000 lbs no traffic and he turn the engine brake on, I ask him why he need engine brake he exact words (it make the truck sound good) my exact words to him it raise my fuel bill, turn it off, engine brake is for what it was made for use it when you need It, its not a toy.
