Some questions from a noob that applyed to swft school an hour ago

You need a Passport to get into Canada!

 

I keep hearing about school records being held and not held. Why does it matter if there held? You have your CDL drive away. Big deal? I don't get it. Someone want to explain?

Are people actually using this academy as credits toward a 4 year degree lmao...

Crypto - Many places won't hire drivers unless they have very recent experience or just got out of school. I got my cdl about 15 years ago right when I met my wife. I changed my mind about OTR and worked locally class B to be around as the kids grew up.

My hours got cut so I decided to use my class A but no one would hire me because I had no experience and no recent schooling. I applied to everyone around, large and small, and they all said I needed a full course - not a refresher course. I got a scholarship and was out on the road four weeks later.

Yes, I just got a full ride scholarship too. Everything is paid.

thats a good deal, I would take it and drive as varied equipment to as many places as I could in that time for the training. Despite everything you read about Swift they are not that bad of a company to start out with. If they are offering this deal to new drivers then I would try it.

 

I'm not sure you need a passport to get into Canada but you sure need one to get back into the States.
