Some recommended gadgets

I have been on the job 18 months now and got a lot of valuable information here when I was starting out. So, I thought I would list some items that I have found over the last year and a half and would not want to be without.


Knox 48 Quart Electric Cooler/Warmer with Built in Car and Home Plug
Much better quality than the Coleman cooler you see in truck stops. Holds 24 .5L water bottles with room left over for some fruit and a foot-long Subway. Fits in the 15" wide refrigerator cubby in my International Prostar sleeper.


Stabilicers Heel
Gives traction where you really need it and does not interfere with using your pedals like the full-length ones do.


Cleanwaste Go Anywhere Portable Toilet
Folds up and stores neatly under my bunk. I have not had to use it yet, but if I am ever faced with a dire emergency it is nice to know it is there.

Compound leverage. Made in Germany. Cuts steel wire rope trailer seals like they were made of cardboard.


Piddle Pail: Portable Urinal
I have two. Use them all the time. Unlike most others, the lids screw on tightly with no leaks even if they get turned upside down.
