I know a guy with a 99 Peterbilt with a Detroit. His would cut off going down the road and that big relay behind the left dash panel fixed it.

Thanks 062. I will give that a look. It’s getting to be every morning now. I try to start it then have to wait about an hour and then she starts. Well at least its Saturday. I have a local load to get off my back and then I can go over everything all of you have suggested. To be continued. Thanks all

I think I found the problem. Lack of maintenance on my part. I removed all the cables from the batteries and on the advice of my Peterbilt service manager, I removed the rubber coating from each cable end and exposed the metal ends. I cleaned every one of them with a wire wheel, removed as much if mot all of the corrosion that I could, smeared it with dialectric grease, cleaned the posts and put everything back together. After another coating of grease to cover the posts, it’s been starting every time. I know I should have done that first, but oh well. Most expensive part was the starter, but I have no regrets on changing it as the old starter had 983k original miles on it. Thanks again to all my friends out there for all your help
