So just because abf is union, does that benefit me to jump ship? Is a pension that I dont control worth the risk? I know that overtime is awesome but I would make more on the hr by $3.45 if it was 40hrs........

If you can afford being on the bottom then I would. If you can't then stay at Estes. ABF has an extremely low turn over rate so you will be at the bottom for quite some time

Well if you are worried about layoffs, go to OD. they dont pay o/t either though.

fedex/ con-way you will starve at the bottom at most places..good luck getting behind the wheel depending on location.

abf is union..possible layoffs depending on the contract.

upsf- same union contract bs right now.

depending on where you are there are some smaller regional LTL companies that might be a good fit for you.

You goy a family and need the money. If you guys are financially stable and able to survive the bottom again then by all means. But if you can't afford it then stay where you are. I was able to switch companies as I'm not married and no kids and my bills are very very cheap
