Well, I found a 2011 Pete 367 with 36” sleeper. with a ISX Cummins, 8ll and 26,000 miles. It has a wet kit installed also and is 20k more. Looks brand new. Decisions decisions lol

Nope cat never used any egr. After 07 they started using CGI (clean gas induction) which is kind of the same idea except cat filtered the exhaust through the dpf before running it back through the engine. But before 07 they never had any kind of egr.

Oh and they have super low rears I'm talking 4.88s or 5.13s at least the newer 2010-2014 Pete's. At 65 most trucks were at 1900 rpm's and some of the newer ones were at 1750 at 65

I agree, i wouldn't buy an used oil field truck.
I used to drive a company KWs in Alberta oil fields, always heavy on frozen or muddy dirt roads like off road jeeps, got problems with differentials frame, suspension ,axles even new trucks.

that 46k miles on a oilfeild truck is probably the equivalent to a 5-600k mile truck on frame suspension rears clutch ect. the engine hours are about the equivalent of 350k miles also keeping in mind oil feild trucks are prone to getting the engines dusted out.

priced in the low 30's it might not be a awfull deal. but i wouldn't expect the truck to be trouble free. check the frame for cracks esp around the suspension mounting points including where the top link on the rears bolts to the frame. check all the suspension bushings springs and kingpins. also if it has eaton rears seems to be a bigger issue on petes the axle housings tend to crack near the suspension mounting points as well so be sure to check that as well

I wouldn’t get that one. Well depends on when the cm2250 came out. It’s an isx model after the 871. It has the high pressure fuel pump that’s had a bad reputation for the tappets exploding and breaking off into the oil wrecking the whole motor basically with little pieces of ceramic. They are advised to replace every 300k miles with a reman or put new tappets in. The reman pumps are like $3k plus instal.

But that might of started in 2012 I can’t remember. I think it was the year scr systems got mandated.

Didn’t know that! I thought at late 03’-04’ the federal mandate got everybody for egr. But now that you say that I do remember cat getting in trouble for ignoring/not complying with emission standards or something like that.

Brett3876, not Slumber J trucks. These are silver and had green fenders. Came from south Texas. Not sure how they wound up in Kc, Mo. Dealer got 14 of em at the time. I certainly appreciate everyone’s opinions. Buying a truck is a pain in the ### with all the hazards you have to consider.
