So far the worst storm I've experienced was Irene back in 2011. Rode out Sandy a few years later (that one was more rainfall than anything else).

My relatives in Houston are gluttons for punishment. Back in 2001 one of my aunts was flooded out of her second story apartment by Tropical Storm Allison. Then a few years later Hurricane Ike came a calling. Portions of Houston looked like Venice,Italy. But one storm still etched in my aunt's mind was 1983's Hurricane Alicia.

Oh just FYI, that didn't happen to me. I was just responding to a post. (Although I wouldn't be suprised if it happened to somebody)

They said that some areas like Daytona Beach may let people back Saturday. Don't know if they think the electric will be back on or not.

It's just been reported at 12:02 am Est that SC has reported the lower parts of I-95 is impassable and closed due to flooding,

There is a tornado warning out for an area below Myrtle Beach, moving at 50 mph.

No surprise 95 is closed, given its proximity to nearby lakes and reservoirs. Same thing happened last year, and the highway was shut down in both directions from Florence all the way down to Bowman. Every one had to make a 100 mile detour via Columbia(I-20,I-26).
