I know of a guy that works for them. He has to load and unload his own truck but he's home every night but can tend to be some back breaking work and they will make you work hard for that good pay. They are LTL as I know of. Not sure if your reffering to a OTR postion or local though. But reffering to the pay offer by the hour I'm assuming it's local.

Yes, you will unload and load your truck at most stops. You are doing local P&D. There is work involved in it. That's why they pay big dollars. I did it for a while. If I were 25 years younger, I would go to work for them in heartbeat. Check their long term benefits. Years from now you will kick yourself if you decide to go OTR instead of this.

I worked for the in 2008 and in the process of going back to work for them. They are a great company, LTL do require some physical labor but nothing a pallet jack and hand truck cant take care of.

If you are lucky enough to get one.

From what I see at truck stops, half of the new breed of drivers wouldnt last a day in the life of a p&d driver.

Not a easy place to get in,if you got a pretty good stable work history and few years of otr exp your changes are pretty good.A friend of my apply there twice and both times he was interview but didn't get the job,all depends on luck I guest.
