If your talking about the one in Griffin, its really more like middle georgia....I have grown up in the area....I see their trucks on the road alot....friend of mine got his cdl there.....nothing special rally just like all the other cdl mills. I see them hopping curbs stalling out and missing gears just like the rest

I got my forklift cert there a couple of years ago, in the same building as the CDL guys. Instructors seemed nice, and the course is covered by Hope Grant but I couldn't take 8-10 weeks with no pay so I went another route for my CDL. If you can afford the time, the community college route is better for training, and they aren't pressuring you toward certain companies like the commercial 3 week mills do.

I went to the Thomaston Campus last January to get my CDL and it was a good program and they take the time to help you out. At the Thomaston campus, they only had an office worker from Mcelroy transportation come in and that was it as far as recruiters or anyone from companies. They did have some Old Dominion drivers come in bringing in dock workers that my instructor gave them the test to get their CDL and we could talk to them while the dock workers were taking their test.
