I am considering getting my CDL and at first glance I was impressed with PDI in New Buffalo. However, the more I read about trucking schools vs. community school programs, etc. and digging up info about PDI, the more unsure I am. Am I over-stressing the importance of where one gets a CDL? I don't want to be stuck with a loan to pay off for nothing, right? :biggrin_25511:

Find out which trucking companies recruit from the schools you're interested in. Usually, if a school is too short, it limits which companies will hire you.

Just ensure the school you choose, does have companies recruiting from the school. If no companies are recruiting from the school, then that's a red flag; choose another school.

How might one go about finding that info?
