Trailer came drilled for two spare racks, but no spare racks were installed. Used those holes for a gen rack and a dunnage rack, on the other side.
Funny how it went from a question of spares carriers to why I don't carry spares. If you don't carry spares then that is up to you. We run quality tires, ie Michelins under our own national account and do get roadside with fair prices again under our account. We just had one of our trucks get a nasty cut while delivering to an oil well location and it was fixed with a quality spare. I'm a big believer in being prepared as much as we can. Sometimes things happen that are outside of our control regarding tires. All of our trucks carry a spare as well as our trailers. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I will check with Utility when I have a chance as I've been meaning to. I figured some would post pics of their setup etc.
While there are some operations, where it doesn't hurt to carry a spare, those are rare. The majority of the time, a spare tire in a rack, will get ruined before it has a use. As I have cited with my landlord's road service experience. As to a proper rack, it would be best to see what the trailer manufacturer has availible.
I was just trying to add an opinion an point of view as to why it might not be worth carrying a spare. Sometimes people don't see everything the same way. and I agree, I think Utility will be the best place to start. They will deff have one, its just the price that might make you look elsewhere.
